The opportunity
In this role you will support the Projects and Civil Division to deliver on a variety of projects for our clients. We have a strong forward work programme to deliver for Local Councils, TREC/ Waka Kotahi and the Private Sector. This role will see you leading an operational crew to deliver work on time, on budget and safely. You will be coordinating plant, labour, subcontractors and suppliers. Your talents will provide the team with an environment that puts safety and quality first.
In addition to the above you will:
Ensuring your team adheres to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Maximising your team’s daily productivity and ensuring the quality of works
Support the training and development of your team

We’re looking for someone with:
At least 5 years’ experience in Civil construction
Minimum full current class 1 licence
WTR endorsements
A background in retaining structures, formwork, temporary works, civil construction, reinforced concrete, earthworks and road construction
Previous plant experience in a construction environment
Proven experience in supervising and leading a crews
Ability to communicate clear expectations to your team and suppliers
Accountability for resources, including people management and supply allocation
A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve
An unwavering commitment towards safety with a safety record to match
