This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to build on their skill and passion for technical writing in the construction industry. Working as part of a busy and successful bid team, you will be responsible for compiling high value tenders, writing content for tenders, completing PQQs (pre-qualification questionnaires), providing supporting technical/compliance information for tender submissions and contributing towards improvements in the quality and success rate of the company’s bid submission process. The ability to work to tight deadlines, being able to ensure that all submissions are accurate, fully complete and issued within the timescales required is essential.
As a confident and experienced writer with compelling communication skills, you possess strong business acumen and the ability to take multiple concepts and write with one voice. Though every day will be different, responsibilities in this role will include;
- Contributing to win themes
- Developing a good understanding of the client’s vision, strategy and plans to maximise new business generation opportunities
- Writing proposals, tenders, submissions and other communications in line with our bid strategies
- Writing compelling content and creative visuals
- Administration of EOIs and tenders including coordinating meetings and document control
- Creating business newsletters and other publications as required
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure they meet deadlines for supplying information
- Translating highly technical information for a range of stakeholders
- Conducting Customer research
- Editing and proofreading documents before submission
- Working alongside internal departments to cross check quality of the bids
- Ensuring all submissions are uploaded (if applicable), printed, packaged and delivered in the format and media type required and within the deadlines established
- Reviewing successful and unsuccessful submissions, feedback and lessons learned to promote continuous improvement ties.

We’re looking for someone who is:
A creative thinker, with the confidence to drive the development of winning solutions and consistently ensure the delivery of high quality submissions. You enjoy working in a close knit, dynamic team and being in a very fast paced environment. In addition, you will have:
- Professional writing training or experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent literacy skills, with professional vocabulary
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to source information
- Intermediate to Advanced Adobe skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Civil construction experience
- Passion, be self-motivated, working with little to no supervision
- The ability to thrive under pressure with a deadline-driven attitude.
