What’s the role about?
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Senior QA leads the quality assurance team. Responsibilities include developing and automating test cases, maintaining quality and reliability testing systems, and evaluating test results for compliance. The role involves collaboration with business development managers, system developers, end users, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project development and testing.
You will be based in our stunning new central Auckland offices, where you will join a team that is passionate about providing the best experience. This role has flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
Some of the key responsibilities:
Establish and implement quality standards
Oversee and mentor the QA team, including hiring and training duties
Align testing with business processes
Drive test automation initiatives
Suggest and implement QA process improvements
Monitor and analyse quality trends
Document and communicate test activities and results
Collaborate with development staff on automation hooks
Analyse user requirements and extend them into test cases
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
10+ years progressive QA experience
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using QA automation software and tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
Ability to influence and drive change across the organisation
Continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality
Experience in the insurance industry / financial services is highly desirable
