The Downer Greenspaces team in Tauriko have a reputation built through having great people, access to first class plant and equipment along with leading edge technology that allow us to deliver to the highest standards across New Zealand.

Our teams are professional, focused on delivery of best practice on Parks Maintenance/Horticulture services to our clients and the members of the public.

We are looking for a Mower Operator/Sexton with second-to-none customer service skills. You will often liaise with the public, so it is important to have a cheerful nature, enjoy talking to people and have a positive attitude. Your tasks will include:
 

• Maintaining grounds daily through optimising the use of Tractor and Ride-on mowing, weed eating plant equipment and materials
• Preparing, attending and reinstating plots for body and ash burials 
• Engaging with Funeral Directors and building strong customer relationships
• Occasionally working on weekends 
• Working within the wider team to assist where needed. 
  
   

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
 

• Full Class 1 Drivers License and WTR – Class 2 and above would be highly regarded
• Experience interment burial operations preferred (training can be provided) 
• Experience with excavation is a must
• Experience in use and operations of tractor and ride-on mowing would be advantageous 
•  A high standard of workmanship is essential as well as knowledge of the Environment industry
•  Be physically fit, punctual, reliable, responsible and self-motivated 
•  Have good communication skills and ability to work as a team 
•  Have a strong focus on safety and quality 
•  Have a passion to deliver excellence that is customer focused
