Westpac is one of New Zealand’s leading banks and is committed to helping our customers, communities and people prosper and grow. The Corporate Advisory team delivers high quality financial and strategic advice to our Institutional and Business Banking clients.
Reporting to the Executive Director Corporate Advisory you will be working closely with the loan product and relationship teams in Westpac to prepare and deliver advice and insights for our clients; you will need to be a self-motivated team player, possessing strong initiative, drive and customer service values to meet our customers’ needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist the team to prepare analysis and presentations for IBB clients covering a wide range of topics including industry benchmarking, funding solutions, industry insights
Support the team by undertaking research on various topics
Develop financial models using data tools (including Capital IQ and Bloomberg)
Liaise with Relationship Managers, product teams, financial markets and other parts of the bank to produce analysis
Stay informed on business and financial news / developments
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Tertiary qualification (such as Engineering, Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics).
An interest in investment banking, consulting or general corporate finance and sustainable finance is required for the role along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Actively working towards CFA qualification (or equivalent qualification).
Up to 24 months of experience in working in Banking / Financial Services and a keen interest in building a career in the sector.
Financially proficient with competence in MS Excel and the ability to develop financial model / modelling skills.
Competent in preparing high quality presentations in MS PowerPoint.
