Job Description
Our Christchurch Production Support team currently have a permanent position available for an Aircraft Maintenance Trade Assist to join our team. This is a Monday to Friday day position.
In this role you will be providing trade assistance to the Christchurch Maintenance Team during routine aircraft maintenance; these include but not limited to aircraft washes, aircraft polishes, interior cleaning, paint stripping, component cleaning, and other defined tasks during labour intensive periods on the Air New Zealand fleet and customer aircraft.
We seek a person that is committed to a safe workplace, is passionately customer focused and who is comfortable working as part of a team. You'll be required to meet compliance and company legislative/regulatory standards. Strong communication skills are critical, as well as the ability to relate and interact with a wide range of people on a day-to-day basis.
Preferred attributes for the position are:
- Experience in an Aircraft Maintenance environment
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- A commitment to Health and Safety
- Prepared to work overtime either during the week or weekends as required
- Be curious and willing to learn and take on additional skills
