We have eight different internal P&Ls that our finance professionals work with, providing opportunities to move around, continually develop different skillsets and work in an area of our business that they are passionate about.

Our NZ Finance team is looking for a motivated Property Accountant to support our NZ destinations with various financial and administrative tasks. This role offers you an opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

This is a 12-month fixed term full time role based in the NZ Support Office above Westfield Newmarket.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Playing a lead role in the completion of key financial deliverables including the NOI report, finance assumptions, budgets/LTF, forecasts and year end reporting for both centre operations and tenant reporting.
  • Data entry review, financial control and approval for centre receivables and payables as well as the general ledger.
  • Ensuring all finance issues and tenant reporting are completed on time.
  • Developing good working relationships with each major tenant to ensure all finance issues are settled in good time.
  • Coordinating any tax returns for centre owners.
  • Providing financial support, advice and portfolio-wide analysis as required on key asset management decisions including majors tenants, land acquisitions and divestments.

What sets you apart

You will have a passion for the property industry and excellent business partnering and stakeholder management ability. You are a strong communicator with exceptional influencing skills and a high level of commercial acumen as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. You plan and manage multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities easily.

  • Approximately 5 years’ experience in relevant positions with experience in the property industry is advantageous.
  • A CA qualification and bachelor’s degree (preferred but negotiable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numeracy.
  • Experience with JD Edwards and TM1.
  • Advanced MS Excel ability.
  • Can-do attitude, enthusiasm, and integrity.
