About the job

We’re looking for a Saw Operator to join our night shift team at our Vulcan site in Christchurch, specializing in cutting mild steel.

Working hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Requirements

• Experience operating a programmable saw (advantageous but not essential)
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (minimum)
• Physically fit – this is a hands-on role
• Comfortable using technology at an intermediate level
• Reliable with strong attention to detail and safety
• Willing to work overtime if required
• Team player – ability to collaborate closely with co-workers
• Health & safety focus – excellent understanding & adherence to procedures
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve
• Forklift licence (a plus but not mandatory)
• Familiarity with gantry cranes (beneficial but not essential)
