One of our long-standing experienced retail superstars is moving into a technical field role, creating a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and charismatic Rural Retail Salesperson to join our Gore team.
Working with a close-knit, friendly, high-performing team where everyone looks out for each other, teamwork, and the ability to build relationships are key to this role. We are looking for an experienced rural retail specialist with strong animal health knowledge who will proactively approach every customer and deliver a true retail customer experience. This is a full-time role, 40 hours a week.
You will bring your strong rural knowledge and expertise to the position; if you have experience in animal health, this would be an advantage. You will provide exceptional customer service and advice to our shareholders and customers in-store across a wide range of rural supplies and products, collaborating closely with your colleagues and suppliers to maintain impeccable retail standards in our fantastic purpose-built store.
You will be working 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week. However, we are a six-day-per-week store and require you to be flexible across our six-day rostering, which usually equates to working one Saturday per month.

We are looking for an individual with strong rural experience, who is genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the Farmlands Gore team. With a vision to embed themselves into a retail sales role that will provide diversity and endless opportunities for the right person to develop a long and rewarding career with Farmlands.
You will also bring:
- Genuine desire to deliver first-class customer service.
- Strong rural knowledge and expertise in particular animal health (drench, parasite control).
- A dedicated and capable retail sales professional passionate about selling while providing excellent customer advice and support.
- Experience in rural retail would ensure you are set up for success.
- Self-motivated, shows initiative and confidence, and is a powerful team player.
- A knowledge of farming practices and seasonality is essential.
- An empathy and understanding of the rural sector.
- Strong computer skills and learning new systems will set you up for success (namely our ‘Point of Sale and D365 Ops).
- Physical fitness, being comfortable working on your feet all day and lifting and carrying stock.
- Clean Full Driver Licence & Forklift licence (preferred, however full training provided).
