We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Spa Therapist. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.

Job Description

Our Ambassador will be:

• Massage therapists are responsible for delivering exceptional Spa experiences from guest check in to departure. As a therapist you will provide Massage and body treatments in a safe and professional manner. To enhance your client’s journey you will provide retail and lifestyle recommendations ensuring our guests and clients have appropriate information and resources once they leave their therapists care. As an industry expert our therapists are the ‘spa experience’ that guests will have, as they entrust themselves in our care. You will be expected to execute treatments, engage guests in consultation and repartee, while making them feel as if they have entered a completely different environment from the one they came from.
• At all times you must be representative of the qualities of someone delivering luxury service standards. To provide warm, welcoming service without compromise to all guests.
• Primary focus on sense of guest arrival/departure, hands-on treatment, cleanliness, room ambience, and overall spa experience. Empathetic, friendly, and able to make people feel beautiful inside and out.
• Establish a long term relationship with customers.
• The leading expert in all areas of retail and treatments. Able and available to answer any questions that guests may have and give them extensive feedback and demonstration if applicable; with an ability to execute suggestive and add-on sales.
• Takes control of rebooking guest after treatment.
• Perform treatment most suited to guest utilising a range of techniques.
• Knowledgeable about all aspects of treatments, spa therapy and the facility
• Monitors, maintains and re-stocks assigned room with products, supplies, disposables and work tools.
• Reports any low stock to Spa Manager or designate

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential, within the luxury spa environment;
• Knowledge of spa booking system or a similar property management system, preferred;
• Organises time and work efficiently;
• Excellent eye for detail and an understanding of luxury guest expectations;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Team player with a can do attitude;
• Has the ability and willingness to undertake further development;
• Works under pressure without negative impact;
• Develops and maintains co-operative working relationships;
• Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills;
• Initiates contact and establishes rapport easily.
• Strong presentation skills
• High degree of self-awareness with demonstrated aptitude for self-improvement
