Job Description
Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Support role, supporting the people who work at our Generation assets and live in the communities surrounding them.
In this role, you’ll create value from Meridian’s engagement with local communities, schools, iwi, councils, government and environmental bodies, to identify and implement reputation and brand enhancing activities, including our community funds initiatives and sponsorship programmes.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support for those working at our Generation assets, predominantly those within the Waitaki catchment. Assisting with site induction processes, site visits and other site-based support as required across our Generation sites.
This includes accountabilities such as:
Meeting engagement demands from our communities and landowners (organise site visits, support with public relations and community events)
Providing site support, inductions, location control, phone, site access/system set up
Managing site related requests from internal and external stakeholders
Working closely with the Site Owners to support projects and maintenance administration on site
Assisting and supporting where required across Generation sites with general administrative work.
Coordinate celebrations and work-related events
Supporting with activities related to administration and distribution of Meridian’s Community Funds, including coordination of funding meetings, meeting records, funding outcomes and payments.

We’re looking for a real people-person! You’ll be friendly, engaging, and really enjoy what you do. Our ideal candidate will have proven relevant event management/coordination experience, and/or recent and relevant experience in a coordination/administration role in a complex environment
You will ideally have experience supporting a Senior Manager and be a highly proficient user of Microsoft office administration packages
Other key requirements include:
Experience contributing to a positive, productive, and professional culture
Experience using IT systems and tools such as the Microsoft Suite
Constructive and collaborative working style
Team focussed, with a passion for helping people
Enthusiasm & contribute positively to team culture
Approachable and friendly
Good attention to detail
Ability to regularly travel and work from generation sites as required
