Salary Band – $116,000 - $127,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver

About the role

  • Reporting to the ACNM for PaR
  • Rotating shifts Monday to Sunday with 12 and 8 hour shifts available
  • Strive for excellence in clinical services and focuses on patient centred care,
  • Use advanced clinical skills to identify patients at risk and work closely with the primary teams to monitor and implement interventions to prevent deterioration.
  • Provide specialist PaR nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery,
  • Mentor staff so they too gain further knowledge and skill,
  • Act in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes.
  • Supported to complete the required NZ outreach nurse competency assessment.

About you

  • Current Nursing council registration and APC
  • Must already hold NZ working rights as we are unable to sponsor visa for this role
  • Proven clinical nursing experience in acute or critical care, ED/ICU/HDU 
  • Working towards relevant Post graduate qualifications at a minimum of a Diploma or/and a master’s degree e.g. health assessment, critical care.
  • Advanced learning and contemporary knowledge in either Acute Care, HDU, ED or ICU nursing.
  • Current Core Advanced certification
  • Holds Level 4 or Senior Nurse PDRP or level 3 and working towards level 4.

 

Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($116,040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127,674 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 2.
