The Opportunity
We're looking for a Fleet Administrator to join our team based in Hamilton.
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will play a key role in assisting with the Fleet & Asset Administration function within the Waikato Region. This will include records management for the financial and operational activities of our fixed and moving plant, ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to, and maintaining good control over capital purchases. This is a varied role that requires good working knowledge of construction plant, great office skills, the ability to relate well to people, and manage competing demands whilst supporting the business. You will also provide back up for accounts and reception functions within the region.
The hours for this role will be around 35 hours per week, between hours of 9:00am - 4:30pm with some flexibility available for the hours and time of work which will be agreed with the successful candidate.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have administration experience & an eye for numbers.
Understand fleet, asset administration requirements & financial systems (we use JDE)
Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team – with an all-hands-on deck approach
Have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Have full clean Class 1 driver’s licence.
Be reliable, punctual, and a positive can-do work attitude is a must.
Be self-motivated and take pride in your work.
Show strong attention to detail & processes.
Have passion and commitment to safety in the workplace.
Possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills and commitment to interactions with all teams.
