Job Description

Our Wellington operations are looking to boost our team of casual operators.

We are looking for responsible and reliable people to join the teams, to be available to be called to work on a casual basis as and when required.  

Tanker Operations involve the discharging of fuel as Wharf Attendants. Other duties may be offered should you have the right skills and positive approach to work.  

The work involves manual handling to a maximum of 25kgs and will involve working outside in all weather conditions on a rostered basis.

We need people that will follow all operating procedures thoroughly and safely. You need to be prepared to be flexible, available to work a variety of possible workdays, weekends and available after hours. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide assistance in tanker discharges on the wharf and terminal duties as required.
  • Undertake terminal duties including assisting with maintenance when required, and any other relevant duties.
  • Complete all tasks in a manner that is consistent, safe to all personnel and the environment.
  • Discharging of tankers is undertaken in a timely manner.
  • To work with the Supervisor and/or Branch Manager so as to maximize business returns whilst minimizing exposure and risk for the company.
  • To ensure all activities are carried out with regard and recognition of Health and Safety requirements and personal safety
  • Undertake all other relevant work requests relevant to your position.

  •  A reliable and committed team member.
  •  Demonstrated skill in following operating procedures including strict health   and safety requirements.   
  •  Good verbal communication and able to maintain accurate written records.
  •  Current full drivers licence.
  •  Pass a drug screening process.
  •  Good listening and communication skills.
  •  A genuine interest in creating value through your relationships with your team   and clients
