- Salary Band – $81,683 - $106,739 p.a. pro-rata
- Monday to Sunday rostered shifts

About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Coach will work in Surgical Ward, acting in the role of coach, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent in the pursuit of excellence and improved health outcomes. This role will provide clinical support and education for newly graduated nurses and new staff to Southern.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Promotes excellence in nursing/midwifery practice within an interdisciplinary environment.
- Promotes the enhancement of practice and the development of knowledge and skills for nursing/midwifery staff.
- Shows effective nursing/midwifery leadership and consultancy with a support and educational focus.
- Promotes and utilises research and evidence-based nursing/midwifery practice.
- Maintains own professional development.

About you
You will have considerable post-graduate experience in surgical nursing and have passion for supporting and developing the skill base of fellow nurses. You must have first-rate knowledge of the professional standards and regulations for nurses plus superior written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
We’re looking for a registered nurse with strong credible clinical leadership skills. You will also have:
- A current Portfolio (PDRP or equivalent) or be working towards one.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- A first-rate knowledge of professional standards and regulations for Nurses with impeccable practice standards and nursing speciality knowledge.
- The ability to work as part of team in a collaborative manner
