The Position:
We are looking for a skilled senior Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll, Time & Attendance team in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with outsourced vendors to manage end to end pre-payroll, on-cycle payroll, off-cycle payroll process according to monthly and weekly pay cycles
- Extract the T&A (Time and Attendance) data and provide the same to payroll providers
- Validate payroll results & provide approvals for final pay credits based on control reports
- Annual payroll reconciliation and new Payroll Year preparation
- Ensure timely Statutory Payments and Reporting
- Track vendor deliverables on payroll SLAs (Service Level Agreement) through defined payroll metrics
- Be risk aware and help identify, report, mitigate and track risks in the payroll delivery process
- Participate in both Local Projects and Time and Attendance initiatives including system upgrades, testing and documenting all changes for historical and record retention policies, project support as needed
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in replace managing with processing Payroll, Time & Attendance processes
- Project management & blue-collar payroll as well as T&A experience would be an added advantage
- Broader HR Operations experience as well as exposure to an outsourced payroll model would be beneficial
- Ability to effectively engage and mobilize diverse local stakeholders
- Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance
- Collaborative working style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to find solutions
- Highly analytical approach with a strong eye for detail and strong Excel skills
- Structured working style and focus on working autonomously in delivering results per agreed timescale and scope
Preferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks as well as pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check. Where applicable, background checks including Employment History and Education History (including Qualifications) may be required.
