Toe Toe Service is based in Spreydon, and is home to Peter, an active community member who enjoys cooking, household chores, and attending community events. Routine is crucial for Peter, and he thrives when well-informed about upcoming activities.

Your role will involve:

  • Helping Peter maintain his daily routine
  • Encouraging his independence
  • Assisting with personal care, cooking, medication, and household tasks

You will play a key role in ensuring Peter’s life is rich with experiences, while also creating appropriate boundaries and providing space when needed. Empathy, energy, and effective collaboration are essential attributes for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Peter with daily routines, fostering independence and personal growth
  • Confidently assist with personal care, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks
  • Passionately support and extend Peter’s ability to access and participate in the wider community

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

Week One

  • Sunday 7am to 4pm 
  • Wednesday 4pm to 9:30pm, 9:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)
  • Thursday 7am to 9am

Week Two

  • Sunday 4pm to 9:30pm, 9:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)
  • Monday 7am to 9am, 4pm to 9:30pm, 9:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)
  • Tuesday 7am to 9am, 4pm to 9:30pm, 9:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)
  • Wednesday 7am to 9am
  • Saturday 4pm to 9:30pm, 9:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)

Hands on Hours: 44.5 | Sleepover Hours: 47.5

Total Hours per fortnight: 92

You will either be an experienced Support Worker looking for a change or you are simply looking for a career where your enthusiasm and passion for helping others will make a real difference in people’s lives. To thrive in a Support Worker role at Hōhepa you will be:

  • Obtain a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate at minimum or obtain an equivalent qualification.
