Senior Property Manager - Permanent position

 

  • Full-time hours
  • Wellington based - close to rail/bus transport links

 

Our Senior Property Managers are responsible for the property and facilities services for the Ministry’s workplaces. 

A key focus of the role is the co-ordination and interaction with internal and external partners and suppliers to ensure workplaces are functional and able to operate effectively.
  

You’ll be someone who has your 'finger on the pulse'.  Key will be your ability to maintain a comprehensive understanding of where your portfolio is at and how it is performing. A broad property role, you will need to understand your portfolio’s building and asset condition, lease profiles and expiries, maintenance and improvement work and plan for future site requirements. 
 

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Demonstrated senior experience managing property through its life cycle, from procurement, supporting implementation through to facilities management and maintenance once the site is up and running
  • Well demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills to help the Ministry get the most from our property portfolio
  • An understanding of portfolio management principles and practices
  • An understanding of facilities information management and systems
  • Significant knowledge of the machinery of government, property and procurement policies
