Accounting at Fulton Hogan
If you love numbers, Accounting is for you! As a valued member of our Finance and Accounting team, being analytical and meticulous are key skills. You’ll have exposure to a variety of responsibilities across the department, which will include assisting the business with preparation of monthly financial reports/budgets, working closely with department managers to manage their costs for jobs/departments and contributing to continuous improvement in accounting efficiency using effective management control tools.
Graduate - Accountant in the Auckland & Canterbury Region.
Our Graduate Programme commences in February 2026 and as a Graduate, you will be embarking on a 2-year journey of learning, growth, and practical application of your education. This programme is designed to provide you with hands-on experience, exposure to different aspects of our business, and the opportunity to develop essential skills and competencies.
You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, contribute to projects, and participate in training and development programmes to elevate your career. At Fulton Hogan, we believe in empowering our people with the tools to succeed.
In addition to the above you will:
Learn and explore our business through various rotations.
Internal CA / CPA Support.
Have a possible placement in Australia.
Apply academic knowledge and theory into a practical business environment.
Assume responsibility and accountability to successfully complete assignments or tasks.
Learn about Fulton Hogan, our customers, and our direction.

We’re looking for future-focused graduates with:
A tertiary qualification (Bachelor) majoring in Accounting.
A NZ/Australian citizenship or NZ permanent residence status.
Great time management skills, are adept at proactive planning, and take pride in their organised and self-directed work style.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement which is complemented by their ability to quickly adapt and manage shifting priorities.
A strong emphasis on safety and consistently demonstrates ethical behaviour while treating others with respect.
A minimum of NZ Class Restricted License at the start of the programme.
