About the role
Our people make all the difference to our success and the Commercial Team is pivotal to this through the commercial and procurement services they provide at Southern Cross. As a member of the Commercial Team, you play a vital part in enabling agile procurement processes and the effectiveness of supplier relationships to create maximum value for our members.
The Commercial (Procurement) Relationship Manager role is accountable for enhancing procurement value across the organisation. You will work across the breadth of the procurement supplier lifecycle to deliver effective operational outcomes.
Working closely with business stakeholders to understand their priorities and objectives, your role will optimise procurement and contracting processes and supplier relationships to enable us to realise our objectives, deliver value and contribute to the overall success of the organisation. You will establish trusted relationships with our internal teams and participate in Agile projects where you will use your procurement expertise to identify, evaluate, contract and onboard new suppliers. Excellent supplier management skills will ensure the relationships and performance of suppliers meets or exceeds their contractual obligations.
About you:
Procurement and contract management experience in the technology space, with experience and the ability to pivot into general category procurement as required
Experience working with software licensing, cloud providers and professional services firms across the technology environment
Experienced in the use of Agile procurement methodology with ability to adapt your working style and approach to suit different situations
Focus on value creation and continuous improvement opportunities
Procurement and/or business-related qualifications with associated demonstrable experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
