Job Description
At Z we love to develop and grow our people. As the result of an internal movement, we have an opening for a Kaitaki Waitohu Brand Manager – Caltex.
We love our customers, and our innovative branding and marketing keeps them coming back! Our Caltex customers and retailers are a key channel for us and we want to see growth in this area. Reporting into the Head of Loyalty this role gives you the opportunity to bring the Caltex brand and marketing strategies to life, showing the breadth and depth of your skill set. You’ll form and roll out short and long-term marketing activity to drive efficient and effective communication.
This role can be based in either Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland or Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.
You will have the opportunity to
- Execute annual Caltex marketing plans, developing and implementing a wide range of communications to drive both long term and short-term conversion
- Roll out marketing elements of our campaigns through working with agency partners and key stakeholders in a detail-oriented way
- Work with agency partners and stakeholders to ensure efficient roll out of marketing elements and engagement
- Track and measure activity to ensure ROI
- Drive continuous improvement of processes across all promotional, campaign and lifecycle development and execution to make it easier to get things to market, cost less and improve effectiveness
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z
- Experience as a brand manager in a commercially focused organisation
- Working knowledge from within a marketing team having contributed to marketing plans and created communications
- A focus on execution, this includes being focused on processes and tasks, being detail orientated and organised, a strong time manager and able to co-ordinate resources, and others to make things happen
- A willingness and ability to work collaboratively and be part of a cohesive, talented and passionate team
- Ability to use data and insights to make recommendations
- The ability to provide direction and influence stakeholders including agencies and/or suppliers
- Excellent written communication skills with experience creating engaging copy

The base salary range for this role is $96,900 to $114,000 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
