Join our Data Consumption Team and be at the forefront of transforming data into meaningful business insights.  We’re committed to making data accessible, understandable, and actionable for various business units across the organisation. By developing data products, dashboards, and reports, you'll play a key role in supporting various business units and driving strategic goals.

 

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. This involves collaborating with different business units to understand their data requirements and crafting visualisations that facilitate data-driven decision-making. You'll ensure that all data visualisations are accurate, reliable, and user-friendly, while performing data analysis to identify key trends and insights.

 

This is a permanent opportunity with hybrid working conditions, open to candidates based anywhere in New Zealand.

 

Ōu Pūkenga | About You 

  

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally meet the below criteria: 

 

  • Strong experience in a BI or data analysis role with a focus on designing complex dashboards and reports
  • Proficiency in Power BI and similar and Tableau is essential, Google Looker is highly desirable
  • Experience with data visualisation and report development
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, big data technologies, and cloud data services is desirable.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualisations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to align technical solutions with business strategies.
  • Results oriented and committed to achieving challenging objectives and delivering excellence.
  • Background in the insurance industry would be beneficial for understanding specific metrics and reporting requirements.
