Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
We are looking for a class 4 Driver to assist us with our busy peak period in our Palmerston North branch until early January 2025. This will be to offer support through this busy period, enabling us to deliver for our customers.
This role will be responsible to assist with the timely safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals. In addition, you will assist with the timely safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals. To be successful in this role you will be safety obsessed, a team player and customer focused.
What you'll do
- Load and unload freight safely
- Deliver and pickup on time and in full
- Ensure freight is handled and scanned with minimum damage
- Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures
- Always operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner
What you'll need
- Clean Full NZ Class 4 licence
- DG license & OSH Forklift certifications are preferable
- Truck/Trailer driving experience
- Experience driving on New Zealand roads
- Customer-focussed attitude
- Communication and teamwork skills
