Visy Retail Services is a leading supplier & distributor of major brand hardware & retail products throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom; and a strategic partner to one of Australasia’s largest retailers, Bunnings.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Merchandiser, Refit, Sales & Account Management superstar - known internally as a Store Account Manager - to join our New Zealand Sales team in the South Island. Enjoy a Monday to Friday working week and use of a company vehicle. This role is not a traditional sales role, it’s a hybrid position focused on merchandising, display setups, and hands-on work.

What You'll Do:

  • Reporting to the Territory Manager NZ and working as part of a high achieving and experienced team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Visiting designated stores daily, logging into the CRM platform to manage tasks
  • Ensuring range integrity by checking that products are correctly set up and stocked on the shelves as per Bay Layout Guides
  • Providing product training to Bunnings team members
  • Engage in sales conversations with store management to promote our products and secure better selling positions
  • Being the ‘face’ of our brands and providing superior customer service to our client group
  • Managing your own portfolio of Bunnings stores to Visy Retail standards
  • Overseeing all aspects of Merchandising, Refit, Sales & Account Management activities for your portfolio of Bunnings stores
  • Analyse sales metrics using trackers to monitor performance against budget and identify opportunities to push excess and targeted stock
  • Collaborating with your New Zealand Sales team colleagues on all things sales and service
  • Building strong relationships with in-store stakeholders
  • Delivering accurate and timely information and service, via telephone and email

 What You Will Bring:

  • Proven working experience in Bunnings as a team member or as a supplier (highly desirable)
  • An understanding of best practice customer service and sales principles
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities
  • A positive, professional and ‘can do' attitude
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
  • Experience using basic power/hand tools
  • Experience working with hardware, homewares, furniture or related product categories (highly regarded)

Please note, the successful candidate must have a Full NZ Driver’s License and be comfortable with frequent travel between stores, including driving and flying, with at least one overnight stay per week visiting Bunnings stores located in Dunedin, Timaru, Queenstown, Nelson, Blenheim, and Christchurch.
