Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role:
As the Principal Advisor in the Operations team, you will provide high level operational, technical and analytical leadership to the Group Manager Operations and across Whaikaha.
You will lead and develop regular and effective stakeholder communications using a diverse range of channels including papers for the Executive Leadership Team and Ministers.
You will provide leadership for projects and work with others to ensure all work is well planned, and the appropriate planning tools and methods are used.
You will support the team to enhance their capability and provide them with coaching, mentoring and quality improvement advice during their day to day work.
This is a fixed term role ending 25 July 2025.
Ko wai koe | About You:
You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of disability issues in Aotearoa New Zealand and a current understanding of the health and disability support services commissioning environment including relevant policies.
Your strong and effective relationship management skills will ensure you are well connected with external networks and relevant organisations.
You have demonstrated experience in providing strategic, operational, and planning advice to senior management. This is paired with well-developed analytical skills with the ability to write well and provide robust advice and recommendations for Executive Leadership and Ministers.
You will have experience in developing and leading projects in critical areas of work and proven experience in performing a trusted advisor role to peers and colleagues.
To undertake this role successfully, you will be a disabled person or be able to establish credibility and trust with the disability community, as well as having empathy and an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.

Salary range: $117,419.00 - $174,069.00
