Category Manager

As the Category Manager, you will play a part in delivering customer focused ranging and promotions to maintain differentiation. Here's what you can expect in the role...

The Opportunity located in our Ponsonby Support office...

• Be responsible for developing annual category strategies
• Negotiate innovative & compelling promotional offers with vendors
• Deliver range and pricing reviews in line with review calendar
• Source & select in line with company vision & merch plans
• Achieve mutual business development goals
• Implement Category Business Plan to achieve budgeted KPIs
• Oversee product set-up and maintenance in they system
• Co-ordinate all category-based communications to stores and operational teams
  
   

If you have the below experience, we would love to hear from you!

• Demonstrated understanding of retail metrics and drivers
• Proven ability to negotiate and supplier management
• Demonstrated experience in Category Management, Overseas Importing, Product Development
• Demonstrated ability to influence multiple stakeholders
• Proven history in category buying
• Preferably a tertiary qualification or 3 years’ experience in similar Buyer / Cat Man role
• Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
• Team player, with ability to build & maintain strong working relationships
• A passion for all things animals
