The Auckland Botanic Gardens is looking for 2 fantastic Visitor Services Representatives on a casual basis.
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
At Auckland Botanic Gardens, we are passionate about connecting people with plants. People from all walks of life enjoy the experience of our gardens. We need someone to join our visitor services team who is keen on gardens and likes connecting with people.
If you have experience dealing with customers and can 'tell and sell the story of plants' we want to hear from you. The role primarily involves reception, providing information and advice to our visitors. At times you may also be called upon to assist in delivering guided tours, community education programmes and creating displays. We will be able to provide advice to support information provision.

So, if you are keen on plants, gardens and the environment you're positive, enthusiastic, customer focused and have fantastic communication skills this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for. To assist with delivery of our Māori Responsiveness objectives an ability to speak Te Reo Māori would be desirable.
As the Auckland Botanic Gardens are open to the public Monday to Sunday each week, we are seeking someone who has the flexibility to work across a 7-day week. This will include sharing roster duties across weekends and public holidays. Flexibility is needed ideally to work rostered hours that could be between 7.30am and 5pm, to cover the opening hours of the gardens both weekdays and weekends.

This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
