He angitūtanga: The opportunity
 

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Project Specialisation Office within Parks & Community Facilities. Leading project teams to deliver high complexity new capital works and renewal projects, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end project management and delivery, as well as maintaining effective relationships with business owners, customers and project stakeholders.  


Within your role, you will provide technical advice as you lead the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, ensuring accurate fiscal advice in planning, budget allocation and cash flow forecasting. You will also provide coaching and mentoring opportunities to project managers across the region. 


He kōrero mōu: About you
 

As a Senior Project Manager, you will have significant experience in capital works project delivery (including renewals projects), leading multiple project teams responsible for significant and complex budgets (of a value up to $20 million), from programme business case development through to construction site monitoring and asset handover.


You will be well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively, being savvy to deal with ambiguity while making quality decisions in a dynamic challenging environment. It should go without saying that you have the agility to work cross functionally across the unit and other departments while managing a number of diverse projects at the same time.


Alongside a collaborative nature and solid relationship management skills, you’ll bring a clear customer service ethic as well as a sense of personal ownership and responsibility.
