About the role
Work Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Reporting To: Commercial Director - Foodservice & Meat (ANZ)
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing their account portfolio by solution selling and leveraging Kerry’s extensive portfolio of technologies. You will build cross functional relationships with key customers and achieve annual budgeted revenue, volume & profitability targets. You will translate customer and market needs into viable projects and increase visibility of Kerry among customers and within the market by making Kerry the top-of-mind Taste & Nutrition partner.
Key responsibilities
- Support the business lead to develop a commercial plan that drives sustainable & profitable growth, aligned with Kerry’s strategic growth platforms.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of customers, markets, competitors, and trends to identify actionable insights.
- Identify new sales opportunities & ensure a strong pipeline of new business with existing and new customers.
- Ensure the smooth execution of projects by managing the pipeline proactively across functions and business units.
- Development of proactive customer campaigns with Marketing and R&D that create significant value for key customers.
- Build collaborative and cross-functional relationships with existing and new accounts.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven experience working successfully with multifunctional teams to ensure achievement of strategic business goals.
- Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Food and Beverage market.
- Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for food and beverage, with proven capacity to relay this in all your customer and stakeholder engagements.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Builds partnerships based on trust and integrity and collaborates to maximize value from cross- functional teamwork.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Food Science preferred with relevant work experience.
