Mō te tūranga - About the role
Join our highly engaged, capable and collaborative Product Management team, supporting the New Zealand Funds Management business. As a Product Manager in our KiwiSaver team, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering strategic, operational and customer value initiatives. You’ll also manage product obligations on a day-to-day basis including the design and development of product solutions, while reacting to legislative and competitive movements with speed and precision.
This role requires specialist product capability, including knowledge of relevant legal/regulatory requirements.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
As a Product Manager you will:
- Be the subject matter expert for KiwiSaver.
- Take ownership of product enhancement and customer experience initiatives that deliver on the strategic direction for Funds Management.
- Lead and make decisions, implement and monitor changes. This could include creating initiative proposals, analysing data, writing project plans, facilitating scoping sessions with delivery teams, obtaining legal opinions, developing system requirement specifications, and completing test planning and execution.
- Ensure the product portfolio is well managed and well governed. This could include activity in product management systems (Patengi & Manawa), managing our Good Customer Outcomes and the yearly product review.
- Proactively look to ensure good customer outcomes, while responding to legislative, operational, strategic and competitive changes.
- Support other Funds Management products as required.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Solid Product Management experience, including necessary KiwiSaver product knowledge.
- General understanding of New Zealand’s investment market and products including markets, asset classes, fund, legal and tax structures desirable. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
- Strong time management and organisation skills.
- Oral and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to scope, plan and implement larger projects or streams to deliver tangible financial benefits to ANZ within delivery timeframes in conjunction with wider stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Comfortable and capable of communicating to all levels of personnel within ANZ, including senior leadership level.
