We have an exciting new opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our Dietician Inpatient team at Dunedin Hospital. We are seeking a motivated and personable individual to work alongside Allied Health clinicians across the inpatient and outpatient settings. The successful applicant will focus on supporting a patients nutritional journey with oversight from a clinical dietitian.

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate the following:

 

  • An outgoing and friendly manner and being comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to run groups or communication to audiences, and naturally use your initiative.
  • Positive team worker and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good grounding in basic computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • You understand and can demonstrate clear boundaries with regards to all aspects of privacy.

 

You will need to be adaptable and flexible allowing you to work effectively with your clients and within a changing health environment.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the DHB/PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($65,842 p.a) and Step 5 ($79,037 p.a ) of the non-degree Core Scale (Group A)
