But, what about you – in terms of both your career and quality of life? Are you enjoying the level of progress you desire… and deserve? If you think it’s time for more – time for better – then you better read on, because what we’re offering could be right up your street.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
As an SLT in Southland, you'll work across a wide and professionally rewarding range of areas, enhancing your expertise and knowledge every step of the way. It’s a chance to put your versatile skills to best use - assisting patients with swallowing, stroke recovery, neuro-degenerative conditions, Parkinson's, and Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Look forward to extending your scope beyond clinical expertise as you’ll collaborate closely with medical teams, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and allied health assistants to shape and deliver comprehensive treatment plans. We like to think that, for you, this will be much more than a ‘job’ – we see it as your chance to explore your passion. In a world where many healthcare professionals become highly specialised, Southland offers the opportunity to become a true generalist, developing skills across the board. And let's not forget the community outreach – you’ll travel to patients' homes and engage in the community. It’s just a taste of what makes this role truly special.
Great opportunities; amazing team
We pride ourselves on providing opportunity - nurturing talent and growth. You'll have a close working relationship with Dunedin Hospital and the wider team, which means access to professional development events and opportunities for co-working. We’re lucky to have a tight-knit team and a fantastic culture...so come and be part of it.
