Job Description

Bring your People & Culture (P&C) management experience to an expanding international gold mining business. Our Macraes mine was established in the 1990s and currently employs more than 650 people. Play a key role in shaping our local P&C strategy, working closely with the P&C Manager and global counterparts. Lead a small, but effective team, delivering a high quality P&C service to the minesite.

Key responsibilities:-

  • Build effective working relationships with local union representatives; draft briefing papers to support formal consultations and negotiations.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of future state organizational design propositions & quantify the benefits of change.
  • Identify key trends and contribute to the creation of P&C insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues,enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
  • Communicate the function's strategy and action plan and the broader organization's mission and vision; motivating people to achieve local business goals.
  • Manage the P&C team; setting appropriate performance objectives for team members and holding them accountable for achieving these.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of Employee Relations cases, whilst coaching and mentoring team members to deal with complex issues.
  • Draft P&C frameworks and tools within an area of expertise to meet business needs, ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Human Resources Management or related field of study.
  • 3 years experience as a  P&C / HR Manager or Team Leader preferred.
  • A full manual Driving License is required to work at site.
