What You Will Do

Our team is growing! We’re building out our team so come join us on an exciting new project that’ll see us develop a new web application that will enable our channel partners to sell our SaaS based products across the globe. You’ll create a front end interface for our dealers and a backend system that integrates with our workflows.

As a Senior Web Applications Developer you'll dive into an exciting mix of cutting-edge technologies, focusing on GraphQL and dispersed structured data. We value collaboration and innovation, embracing Agile methodologies to ensure top-notch development practices. We take pride in our modern and widely admired web applications that play critical roles in our global business. You'll be at the forefront of adding high-value features, ensuring quality, and expanding our audience reach.

  • Create customer-centric solutions, working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical brilliance

  • Write clear, efficient, and modular code, making use of widely used libraries and techniques

  • Design, develop, and implement innovative programs that cater to customer needs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and customers directly to deliver exceptional technical solutions

  • Contribute to collective decision-making on sprint priorities

  • Showcase your work and promote understanding within the team

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Significant experience in web application development

  • Bachelor's degree or related qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Additional relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree

  • Comfortable reading, altering, and designing solutions in modern programming languages

  • SQL skills and knowledge of relational data and databases

  • Good communication skills, a desire to learn and be an excellent team player

  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment 

About Your Location

The Trimble Christchurch office is a modern building with access to a gym on site, cafes in the area and bordered by park reserves, while still being a few minutes from the central city. Most teams operate as hybrid workers, allowing the flexibility of working remotely a few days a week or in the office. A flexible work arrangement can be negotiated with your manager and the wider team. 

About Our Division

The Business Systems Group in New Zealand, has been integral in the development of significant applications to solve business needs, and has a long history of working directly with business areas and corporate governance. Our team works as part of the Corporate division, which allows us to provide services to various business units within Trimble and to provide guidance on overall strategy. We currently are reporting up to the Digital Transformation Office, as part of the Cloud Platform division.
