That’s why at Bupa Tararu Retirement Village located in Thames, we are seeking a Hospitality Host to join our community on a permanent, part-time basis, working on Sundays only from 11am to 1pm. You will help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of society’s most vulnerable.
The role of a Hospitality host is an integral part of the running of the Care Home, acting as an intermediary between the kitchen, residents, family/whanau and visitors. This is a diverse and rewarding role where you will support the team Caregivers, Housekeepers, and Activities Coordinators where required, focusing on delivering the highest quality person first care to residents.
Where you will make an impact
- Support residents with choosing their meals and communicating the information to the kitchen.
- Distribute lunch to the residents’ in the dining room.
- Assist with setting and clearing the dining room for before and after meal service.
What About You
- A qualification in hospitality would be advantageous.
- Previous hospitality or aged care experience is desirable.
- Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, dedication to providing care, and passion for enriching the lives of the elderly.
- Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
